SLB N.V., listed on the NYSE under ticker SLB, is a global technology company headquartered in Paris, France, with additional executive offices in Houston and The Hague. The company operates at www.slb.com and serves as a leading provider of energy services and digital solutions across the exploration, development, and production value chain.
Founded in 1926 and formerly known as Schlumberger, SLB rebranded in 2022 to reflect its evolution beyond traditional oilfield services. The company operates through four primary divisions: Digital, Reservoir Performance, Well Construction, and Production Systems. The Digital division encompasses cloud-based platforms like Delfi and Lumi, specialized applications including Petrel and Techlog, digital operations services, exploration data libraries, and professional consulting services. Reservoir Performance provides evaluation, stimulation, and intervention technologies for optimizing reservoir productivity. Well Construction offers measurements, drilling fluids, equipment, drill bits, and integrated well construction solutions. Production Systems delivers subsea production systems through its 70-percent-owned SLB OneSubsea joint venture, artificial lift solutions, completions, surface production systems, process technologies, production chemicals, and valve systems.
The company maintains a global presence in more than 100 countries with approximately 109,000 employees representing diverse nationalities and backgrounds. Non-U.S. operations accounted for approximately 82 percent of consolidated revenue in 2025. SLB's customer base comprises national oil companies, large integrated oil companies, and independent operators, with no single customer exceeding 10 percent of revenue.
Beyond its core oil and gas business, SLB is pursuing three engines of growth: Core services, Digital capabilities, and New Horizons of Growth initiatives. New Horizons includes industrial decarbonization through carbon capture and sequestration, low-carbon hydrogen development, geothermal energy scaling, critical minerals innovation, and a fast-growing Data Center Solutions business serving hyperscalers and enterprises. In 2025, SLB completed an all-stock acquisition of ChampionX Corporation, a global leader in chemistry solutions and artificial lift systems, strengthening its production and recovery capabilities.
The company maintains one of the industry's leading intellectual property portfolios and operates a global network of research and development centers supporting technology advancement across its business segments.
