Rockwell Automation, Inc. (NYSE: ROK) is the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation. The company maintains its global headquarters and website at rockwellautomation.com. Rockwell Automation traces its origins to the Allen-Bradley Company, founded in 1903 as a leading North American manufacturer of industrial automation equipment. Following its acquisition by Rockwell International Corporation in 1985, the company was incorporated in Delaware in 1996 after divesting its aerospace and defense businesses to The Boeing Company.

The company operates through three primary segments: Intelligent Devices, which includes drives, motion, advanced material handling, safety, sensing, industrial components, and configured-to-order products; Software & Control, encompassing control and visualization software and hardware, digital twin, simulation and information software, and network and security infrastructure; and Lifecycle Services, which includes digital consulting, professional services, recurring services such as cybersecurity and remote monitoring, and the Sensia joint venture.

Rockwell Automation serves discrete end markets including automotive, semiconductor, and e-commerce and warehouse automation, as well as hybrid and process end markets such as food and beverage, life sciences, energy, mining, and chemicals. The company conducts business in more than 100 countries, with significant operations in Canada, China, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. Its global footprint includes approximately ten principal manufacturing facilities worldwide, with major locations in the United States, Mexico, Poland, India, Canada, and Singapore, along with sales and administrative offices in over 200 locations across more than 50 countries.

The company competes with major global corporations including Siemens AG, ABB Ltd, Schneider Electric SA, Emerson Electric Co., Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Honeywell International Inc., and Dassault Systemes. Rockwell Automation maintains important trademarks including Allen-Bradley, PlantPAx, Connected Enterprise, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PowerFlex, FactoryTalk, Plex Systems, Fiix, Clearpath, Otto, and Verve. The company's competitive positioning is built on its breadth of product and solution offerings, technology differentiation, industry expertise, installed base, partner ecosystem, and global presence.
