American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) is a leading global insurance organization providing comprehensive insurance solutions to businesses and individuals across more than 200 countries and jurisdictions. The company maintains its corporate presence at www.aig.com.

AIG operates through three primary reportable segments: North America Commercial, International Commercial, and Global Personal, supplemented by Other Operations that includes investment income and corporate expenses. The General Insurance business encompasses major operating companies including National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, American Home Assurance Company, Lexington Insurance Company, and Talbot Underwriting Ltd., among others.

The company's commercial lines products span property and short tail coverage, casualty insurance, financial lines including directors and officers and cyber risk protection, and global specialty offerings such as marine, energy, aviation, and political risk insurance. Personal insurance products include group personal accident and business travel coverage, personal auto and homeowners insurance in select markets, and high net-worth individual coverage through its Private Client Select brand.

AIG employs approximately 22,100 colleagues distributed across roughly 45 countries, with 27 percent based in North America, 47 percent in the Asia Pacific region, and 26 percent across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. The company maintains approximately 41 billion dollars in shareholders' equity and 9.3 billion dollars in AIG Parent liquidity sources as of December 31, 2025.

The company generates revenues primarily through insurance premiums and investment income, with profitability dependent on effective risk pricing, loss reserve management, investment portfolio performance, and expense discipline. AIG differentiates itself through world-class underwriting expertise, global reach spanning millions of clients from individuals to Fortune 500 companies, broad distribution relationships with brokers and agents, and balance sheet strength providing financial flexibility.
