The Farnell segment serves lower-volume customers requiring rapid access to components for development, prototyping, and testing, primarily through e-commerce channels. Farnell generated approximately 14 percent of segment sales from semiconductors, 47 percent from interconnect, passive, and electromechanical components, 11 percent from single-board computers, and 28 percent from test and measurement and maintenance, repair, and operations products.

Semiconductors represented approximately 78 percent of consolidated sales during fiscal 2025, with the company's performance closely tracking semiconductor industry strength. The company serves a diverse customer base including startups, mid-sized businesses, enterprise-level original equipment manufacturers, electronic manufacturing services providers, and original design manufacturers. As of June 28, 2025, Avnet employed approximately 14,869 employees across 48 countries, with regional distribution of approximately 4,052 employees in the Americas, 6,185 in EMEA, and 4,632 in Asia/Pacific.
