The Clean Energy Ventures segment owns and operates approximately 479 megawatts of commercial solar capacity across seven states including New Jersey, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut, Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. The Energy Services segment manages unregulated wholesale and retail natural gas operations and provides producer and asset management services across North America. The Storage and Transportation segment invests in FERC-regulated interstate natural gas storage and transportation assets, including operations at Leaf River in Mississippi, Adelphia in Pennsylvania, and a fifty percent equity interest in Steckman Ridge in Pennsylvania.
The company also operates Home Services and Other businesses providing heating, ventilation, cooling, electrical, plumbing, and appliance services. As of September 30, 2025, NJR employed 1,376 employees, with 514 represented employees at the natural gas distribution utility and 117 at home services operations covered by collective bargaining agreements.
NJR's natural gas distribution utility maintains firm transportation and storage capacity agreements with multiple interstate pipeline companies and operates two liquefied natural gas facilities for peaking supply management. The company's clean energy portfolio generates renewable energy credits and transition renewable energy credits through solar installations. The energy services division manages approximately 13.7 billion cubic feet of firm storage and 0.6 billion cubic feet of firm transportation capacity, focusing on capturing value from geographic and temporal price differentials in wholesale natural gas markets.
