The business

XPO, Inc. (NYSE: XPO) operates as a leading provider of freight transportation services with a global footprint spanning North America and Europe. The company maintains its corporate website at www.xpo.com and serves approximately 55,000 customers ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies across every major industry vertical.

The company operates through two primary reportable segments: North American Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and European Transportation. The North American LTL segment represents the largest component of the business and commands approximately nine percent market share of the estimated fifty-three billion dollar U.S. LTL market. This segment moved approximately sixteen billion pounds of freight through its network in 2025, serving approximately 37,000 shippers with day-definite domestic services to roughly ninety-nine percent of U.S. zip codes, plus cross-border services to Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. The European Transportation segment maintains leading positions across key geographies, including the number one full truckload broker and pallet network provider in France, the number one full truckload broker and LTL provider in Iberia, and a market-leading position in U.K. warehousing and dedicated truckload services.

As of December 31, 2025, XPO employed approximately 37,000 people across 592 locations in 17 countries. The North American workforce comprises approximately 22,500 employees while Europe accounts for 14,400 employees. The company generated approximately fifty-nine percent of revenue in North America, sixteen percent in France, fourteen percent in the United Kingdom and eleven percent in the rest of Europe during 2025.

XPO differentiates itself through proprietary technology and artificial intelligence capabilities that optimize pricing, linehaul operations, pickup-and-delivery services and dock operations. The company operates its own trailer manufacturing facility and commercial truck driver training schools, providing competitive advantages particularly during constrained industry conditions. The company has invested substantially in fleet modernization, purchasing over 1,200 tractors in 2025 and reducing average tractor age to approximately 3.7 years. XPO's strategy emphasizes best-in-class service delivery, network capacity expansion, yield growth acceleration and cost efficiency improvements through technology-driven innovation.
