(NYSE: FBK) operates as a publicly owned financial holding company providing comprehensive banking and financial services across Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, and Florida. The company serves as the parent holding company for FirstBank, a Puerto Rico-chartered commercial bank, and FirstBank Insurance Agency, a Puerto Rico-chartered insurance agency. As of December 31, 2025, First BanCorp. maintains total assets of $19.1 billion, loans held for investment of $13.1 billion, total deposits of $16.7 billion, and stockholders' equity of $2.0 billion.

The corporation operates through six reportable segments: Mortgage Banking, Consumer (Retail) Banking, Commercial and Corporate Banking, Treasury and Investments, United States Operations, and Virgin Islands Operations. The Mortgage Banking segment originates, sells, and services residential mortgage products conforming to FHA, VA, and USDA standards, as well as conventional loans. Consumer (Retail) Banking encompasses consumer lending, small business commercial lending, deposit-taking activities, and insurance services primarily through FirstBank's branch network. Commercial and Corporate Banking serves large customers including specialized, middle-market, and government sector clients. The Treasury and Investments segment manages the corporation's investment portfolio and centralized funding operations. United States Operations conducts banking activities through eight branches in southern Florida, while Virgin Islands Operations maintains eight branches across the U.S. Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands.

FirstBank operates through its main office in San Juan, Puerto Rico, 57 banking branches in Puerto Rico, eight branches in the U.S. Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands, and eight branches in Florida. The company maintains six wholly-owned subsidiaries including First Federal Finance Corp., which operates 25 offices providing small loan origination services. As of December 31, 2025, First BanCorp. employs 3,218 regular employees, with approximately 66 percent women comprising the total employee population and 58 percent holding management positions. The corporation provides full-service commercial and consumer banking, mortgage banking, automobile financing, insurance agency services, and other financial products and services throughout its operating regions.
