DXP Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: DXPE) is a leading distributor of maintenance, repair and operating products, equipment and services serving industrial customers across diverse end markets including general industrial, energy, food and beverage, chemical, transportation, water and wastewater. Founded in 1908 and incorporated in Texas in 1996 as the successor to SEPCO Industries, the company has grown from $125 million in sales in 1996 to $2.0 billion in 2025 through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The company operates through three primary business segments: Service Centers, which generated $1.373 billion in revenue and provides MRO products and technical expertise through 168 facilities; Innovative Pumping Solutions, which contributed $390 million in revenue and manufactures custom pump skid packages and provides water and wastewater treatment solutions through 36 facilities; and Supply Chain Services, which generated $253 million in revenue and manages outsourced supply chain solutions for customers across 89 customer sites.
DXP operates 293 locations across 39 U.S. states, nine Canadian provinces, and international operations in the United Arab Emirates, India, and Saudi Arabia. The company employs 3,286 full-time employees and distributes more than one million items including over 60,000 stock keeping units across five key product categories: rotating equipment, bearings and power transmission, industrial supplies, metal working, and safety products and services. As a first-tier distributor, DXP purchases products directly from manufacturers rather than through secondary sources, enabling cost efficiencies for customers.
The company's competitive advantages include its broad geographic footprint, extensive product portfolio, technical expertise, same-day delivery capabilities in many markets, and integrated supply chain solutions through its proprietary SmartSolutions programs including SmartVend, SmartSource, SmartBuy, and SmartServ. DXP has completed 64 acquisitions since 2004 as part of its growth strategy. The company maintains a balanced centralized and decentralized entrepreneurial culture and serves customers across multiple industries without significant concentration, as no single customer represents ten percent or more of revenues.
