IDACORP, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDA) is a holding company incorporated in Idaho whose principal operating subsidiary is Idaho Power Company, an electric utility engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution, sale, and purchase of electric energy and capacity. The company operates primarily through its utility operations, which constitute nearly all of IDACORP's current business. Additional subsidiaries include IDACORP Financial Services, an investor in affordable housing and real estate tax credit investments, and Ida-West Energy Company, an operator of small hydropower generation projects.

Idaho Power provides electric utility service to approximately 664,000 retail customers across southern Idaho and eastern Oregon, covering approximately 24,000 square miles with an estimated population of 1.4 million. Approximately 561,000 customers are residential, with the remainder comprising commercial, industrial, and irrigation customers involved in food processing, electronics manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, government, education, and information technology. Approximately 95 percent of retail revenue originates from Idaho-based customers.

The company generates revenue primarily through the sale of electricity to retail and wholesale customers and the provision of transmission services. Idaho Power's power supply relies on company-owned hydropower, gas-fired, and coal-fired generation facilities, energy storage, and long-term power purchase agreements. The company operates 17 hydropower projects on the Snake River and its tributaries with total nameplate capacity of 1,818 megawatts, co-owns coal and gas-fired thermal plants in Wyoming and Nevada, and operates natural gas-fired generation facilities in Idaho. As of 2025, the company had 307 megawatts of battery storage installed with an additional 250 megawatts expected by end of 2026.

Idaho Power is regulated by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, the Public Utility Commission of Oregon, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regarding rates, service, accounting, and other utility operations. The company's total electric utility operating revenues for 2025 were approximately $1.81 billion. On February 13, 2026, Idaho Power entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Oregon electric distribution business and certain Oregon transmission assets to Oregon Trail Electric Consumers Cooperative.
