The company manufactures and markets a comprehensive portfolio of advanced diesel, electric, and hybrid powertrains; integrated power generation systems; critical components including aftertreatment systems, turbochargers, fuel systems, transmissions, axles, and brakes; and zero emissions technologies. The Engine segment represents 26 percent of consolidated net sales and produces diesel, natural gas, and gasoline engines ranging from 2.8 to 15 liters displacement for heavy-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks and buses, light-duty automotive, and off-highway markets. The Components segment comprises 25 percent of sales and designs drivetrain and braking systems, emission solutions, turbochargers, fuel systems, and automated transmissions. The Distribution segment accounts for 30 percent of sales and serves as the primary sales, service, and support channel across seven geographic regions. The Power Systems segment represents 18 percent of sales and offers standby and prime power generators, industrial engines, and generator technologies. The Accelera segment focuses on electrified power systems with battery and electric powertrain technologies.
Cummins employs approximately 67,400 persons worldwide and maintains long-standing relationships with major customers including PACCAR, which accounted for 13 percent of consolidated net sales in 2025. The company operates significant manufacturing joint ventures in China with partners including Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Chongqing Machinery and Electric, and Beiqi Foton Motor, as well as ventures in India and South America. In 2024, Cummins completed the divestiture of its remaining 80.5 percent ownership of Atmus Filtration Technologies through a tax-free split-off. The company maintains a robust research, development, and engineering program focused on meeting global emission standards and developing electrified power solutions aligned with its Destination Zero sustainability strategy.
