The company leverages the EchoStar XXIV satellite to serve unserved and underserved markets and provides in-flight connectivity solutions for aviation customers.
The Other segment consists primarily of legacy 5G network deployment operations that are being decommissioned following the company's August 2025 decision to terminate its standalone 5G network deployment. The company has invested over thirty billion dollars in wireless spectrum licenses, with significant portions included in transactions announced during 2025 involving the sale of spectrum to AT&T and SpaceX.
EchoStar operates through wholly-owned subsidiaries including DISH Network Corporation and DISH DBS Corporation, maintaining a vertically integrated business model with owned satellites, broadcast operations, and customer service infrastructure supporting its video and broadband services.
