United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE: UPS) is a global package delivery and logistics provider founded in 1907 that operates an integrated air and ground network serving over 200 countries and territories. UPS operates through two primary reporting segments: U.S. Domestic Package and International Package, collectively referred to as global small package operations, along with Supply Chain Solutions (SCS). The company delivered an average of 20.8 million packages per day in 2025, totaling 5.2 billion packages for the year, generating total revenue of $88.7 billion.

The U.S. Domestic Package segment provides time-definite delivery services including same-day, next-day, two-day, and three-day air services, along with ground delivery reaching substantially all business and residential zip codes in the contiguous United States. The International Package segment offers guaranteed day and time-definite services across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia, supported by brokerage capabilities for cross-border clearance.

The SCS segment encompasses forwarding, logistics, and digital businesses. UPS operates as one of the largest U.S. domestic airfreight carriers and global airfreight forwarders, provides ocean freight and customs brokerage services, and operates multi-client and dedicated logistics facilities. The company has strategically expanded its healthcare logistics capabilities, generating over $11 billion in healthcare revenue in 2025 through organic growth and acquisitions including Frigo-Trans and Andlauer Healthcare Group.

UPS employs approximately 460,000 people globally, including 370,000 in the United States and 90,000 internationally, comprising roughly 75,000 management employees and 385,000 hourly employees. Nearly 80 percent of U.S. employees are represented by unions, primarily the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

The company's competitive strengths include its integrated global smart logistics network, sophisticated RFID-enabled technology systems, presence in all major economies, cutting-edge digital tools and artificial intelligence capabilities, consistent service quality, broad service portfolio, established customer relationships, strong brand equity, distinctive culture, and financial strength enabling strategic investments and acquisitions.
