The company maintains an extensive network of over 70 distribution facilities, a fleet exceeding 6,500 trucks, and more than 90 cash and carry locations branded as CHEF'STORE.

US Foods' business strategy centers on its "WE HELP YOU MAKE IT" brand promise, which emphasizes three core pillars: More Quality through its extensive Exclusive Brands portfolio spanning grocery, produce, and center-of-the-plate categories; More Tools through its industry-leading MOXē digital platform that enables customers to manage orders, inventory, and profitability; and More Deliveries through scheduled delivery services, the Pronto program offering daily deliveries in high-density markets, and US Foods Direct online ordering.

The company's product portfolio generated approximately $39.4 billion in net sales during fiscal year 2025, with meats and seafood representing the largest category at approximately 35 percent of sales, followed by dry grocery products, refrigerated and frozen grocery products, dairy, equipment and supplies, beverages, and produce. Over 4,000 sales associates manage customer relationships at local, regional, and national levels, supported by sophisticated marketing and category management capabilities.

US Foods employs approximately 30,000 associates, with roughly 70 percent in hourly positions and approximately 22 percent represented by union agreements. The company has strategically pursued acquisitions to enhance its market position, including the 2025 acquisitions of Jake's Finer Foods and Gourmet Ranch in Texas and Shetakis in Nevada, expanding its reach in key regional markets while maintaining focus on organic growth through its core distribution and value-added services.

Fund ownership counts N-PORT filers only, so it is a floor rather than a census — pensions, insurers and direct holders are not visible here, and the remainder is not “held by individuals”.

Fund ownership is a subset of institutional 13F ownership — the two describe overlapping populations and must not be added together.
