Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) is one of the world's leading providers of communications, technology, information and streaming products and services to consumers, businesses and government entities. The company operates through two primary reportable segments: Verizon Consumer Group and Verizon Business Group. The Consumer segment generated approximately 77 percent of consolidated revenues in 2025 and provides wireless and wireline communications services across an extensive network covering 31 U.S. states and Washington D.C. The Business segment contributed approximately 21 percent of revenues and serves enterprises, public sector customers and carriers globally with mobility services, broadband, IoT connectivity solutions, and managed network services.

As of December 31, 2025, Verizon operated an award-winning national wireless network serving approximately 147 million wireless retail connections and an extensive broadband network covering approximately 14 million connections. The Consumer segment maintained approximately 116 million wireless retail connections, including 83 percent postpaid connections, along with 11 million total broadband connections and 2 million Fios video connections. The Business segment served approximately 31 million wireless retail postpaid connections and 3 million broadband connections. The company operates one of the largest global fiber-optic networks, providing connectivity to business customers in more than 180 countries.

Verizon employs approximately 89,900 full-time equivalent employees, with 89 percent based in the United States. The company maintains a comprehensive portfolio of spectrum holdings including C-Band and millimeter wave spectrum, and operates advanced networks leveraging 5G wireless, fiber-based transport, cloud infrastructures, artificial intelligence and automation. Recent strategic acquisitions include Frontier Communications Parent, Inc., completed in January 2026, which expanded the fiber broadband footprint, and Starry Group Holdings, Inc., also completed in January 2026, enhancing fixed wireless broadband capabilities in multi-dwelling units and urban communities.
