The Drilling and Evaluation segment provides field and reservoir modeling, drilling fluids, evaluation services, and precise wellbore placement solutions. Its product lines include Baroid drilling fluid systems, drill bits and services, Halliburton Project Management, Landmark Software and Services, Sperry Drilling directional systems, testing and subsea solutions, and wireline and perforating services.

Halliburton serves oil and natural gas producers globally, with no single customer representing more than ten percent of consolidated revenue. The company maintains geographic operations organized around four primary regions: North America, Latin America, Europe/Africa/CIS, and Middle East/Asia. In 2025, approximately 39 percent of consolidated revenue derived from United States operations.

The company's competitive positioning rests on its comprehensive service portfolio spanning the entire reservoir lifecycle, from hydrocarbon location through production optimization. Halliburton maintains significant intellectual property through numerous patents and proprietary technologies in drilling systems, completion tools, and digital solutions. The company has developed environment-friendly hydraulic fracturing technologies and continues investing in digital and automation capabilities to enhance operational efficiency for both internal operations and customer applications. The workforce composition reflects substantial localization, with approximately 91 percent of employees and 85 percent of management operating on local terms in their respective countries.
