L3Harris serves customers in more than 100 countries, with approximately 75 percent of revenue derived from U.S. Government customers, including the Department of War, other federal agencies, and prime contractors. The company employs approximately 45,000 people, including roughly 18,000 engineers and scientists, with 90 percent of the workforce located in the United States. The company operates through four primary business segments that provide defense and civil government applications, along with certain commercial applications.

The Communication Systems segment enables warfighters with resilient communication solutions, including tactical radios, broadband communications, and integrated vision solutions for military and public safety customers. The Integrated Mission Systems segment delivers mission capabilities and prime systems integration for intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance, maritime platforms, targeting and sensor systems, and defense electronics. The Space & Airborne Systems segment supplies full mission solutions as a prime and subsystem integrator in space, airborne, and cyber domains, encompassing space systems, intelligence and cyber capabilities, mission networks, and airborne combat systems. The Aerojet Rocketdyne segment provides propulsion, power, and armament products and systems, including missile solutions and space propulsion and power systems.

As of the end of fiscal 2025, L3Harris maintained a contractual backlog of $38.7 billion, with expectations to recognize approximately 45 percent of associated revenue by the end of fiscal 2026. International revenue represented $4.8 billion, or 22 percent of total revenue, distributed across more than 100 countries with no single foreign country exceeding 5 percent of total revenue. The company conducts research and development activities through both company-funded initiatives and customer-funded contractual arrangements, maintaining a substantial portfolio of patents, trade secrets, and intellectual property. Beginning fiscal 2026, the company streamlined its business segments from four to three segments to more closely align common capabilities and business models.
