CVS Health operates through four reportable segments: Health Care Benefits, Health Services, Pharmacy & Consumer Wellness, and Corporate/Other. The Health Care Benefits segment, operating under the Aetna brand, provides diversified health insurance products including commercial medical plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D prescription drug plans, Medicare Supplement coverage, and Medicaid services across 15 states. The segment serves employer groups, government-sponsored plans, and individual consumers through a nationwide provider network of approximately 2.0 million participating providers.

The Health Services segment delivers comprehensive pharmacy benefits management solutions through CVS Caremark operations, managing 1.9 billion prescriptions on a 30-day equivalent basis annually. This segment maintains a national retail pharmacy network of approximately 63,000 pharmacies and operates specialty and mail order pharmacy services. Additionally, Health Services provides value-based care through Oak Street Health primary care centers operating 246 locations across 27 states, serving approximately 500,000 patients, and Signify Health's in-home health evaluation services, which conducted more than 3.5 million evaluations during the fiscal year. The segment also operates more than 800 MinuteClinic locations providing convenient urgent and primary care services.

The company's integrated model connects insurance, pharmacy, and healthcare delivery to improve member outcomes while reducing overall healthcare costs. CVS Health maintains strategic value-based relationships with over 25 different payors, including each of the top five national Medicare Advantage payors. The company also operates Cordavis, a subsidiary focused on commercializing and co-producing biosimilar products. Federal government contracts, particularly Medicare-related services, represent approximately 20 percent of consolidated revenues, with Medicare Advantage and Part D contracts accounting for approximately 79 percent of federal government revenues.
