The company also operates Corporate, Other, and Eliminations, which includes FedEx Dataworks, focused on supply chain intelligence and data analytics; FedEx Office, providing document services and retail shipping access through approximately 2,000 customer-facing stores; and FedEx Supply Chain, offering integrated logistics solutions across warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution. In July 2026, FedEx announced plans to sell FedEx Supply Chain to CMA CGM Group for 1.4 billion dollars.
FedEx pioneered the express transportation industry in 1973 and maintains competitive advantages through its extensive air-ground network, advanced technology infrastructure, and integrated digital capabilities. The company owns numerous trademarks including FedEx, FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Office, FedEx Logistics, and FedEx Dataworks. In June 2026, FedEx completed a spin-off of its less-than-truckload freight business, FedEx Freight, distributing 80.1 percent of FedEx Freight shares to FedEx stockholders while retaining 19.9 percent ownership.
