The company originates, underwrites, and services consumer loans through its Consumer and Insurance segment, which represents its sole reportable operating division. OneMain offers personal loans secured by titled collateral or unsecured, auto finance through a network of franchise and independent dealerships, and BrightWay credit cards purchased from a third-party bank partner. The company also provides optional credit insurance products including credit life, disability, and involuntary unemployment insurance through wholly-owned subsidiaries American Health and Life Insurance Company and Triton Insurance Company. Additionally, OneMain offers Trim by OneMain, a financial wellness platform providing bill negotiation, subscription management, budgeting, and spend tracking services to customers at no charge.

The company operates through a diversified distribution model combining more than 1,300 branch locations staffed with loan specialists, digital lending and servicing capabilities, central operations facilities, and a network of auto dealerships. This omnichannel approach enables OneMain to serve customers across 48 states through their preferred channels: in person, digitally, or by phone. The company manages $26.3 billion in total managed receivables from approximately 3.8 million customer accounts, including loans serviced for third-party partners.

OneMain employs approximately 9,300 team members and maintains central operations facilities in seven locations including Minnesota, Arizona, Kentucky, Indiana, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah. The company targets the substantial U.S. nonprime consumer market, which collectively carries approximately $1.3 trillion in outstanding borrowings across personal loans, auto loans and leases, and credit cards. OneMain's competitive strengths include its established branch network rooted in local communities, advanced digital capabilities, extensive data analytics and underwriting processes, diverse funding sources, and proven ability to manage credit risk across economic cycles.
