The company operates through two primary reportable segments: Wholesale Banking (WB) and Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB). Truist Bank, the company's largest subsidiary chartered in 1872, serves clients through a digital platform and 1,927 branches as of December 31, 2025. The bank maintains leading market share in high-growth U.S. markets, with significant deposit concentrations in Florida (22 percent), Georgia (21 percent), Virginia (14 percent), and North Carolina (13 percent).

Truist's product and service offerings span consumer and commercial lending, including commercial and industrial loans, commercial real estate, commercial construction, residential mortgages, home equity lines, indirect auto financing, and credit card lending. The company also provides extensive non-lending services including deposits, merchant services, treasury management, trust and retirement services, wealth advisory, investment brokerage, asset management, and capital markets services.

The company's competitive positioning rests on its purpose-driven mission to inspire and build better lives and communities, combined with significant investments in digital platform capabilities and technology infrastructure. Truist competes with national and regional banks, credit unions, investment advisers, asset managers, and financial technology companies across its markets.

Truist operates as a financial holding company and bank holding company subject to Federal Reserve regulation and supervision. Truist Bank operates as a North Carolina state-chartered commercial bank regulated by the North Carolina Office of the Commissioner of Banks and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The company maintains regulatory capital ratios and liquidity requirements consistent with its classification as a Category III banking organization under enhanced prudential standards.
