Vanguard Target Retirement Income Fund (the Fund) seeks to provide current income and some capital appreciation.
The fund invests in a mix of Vanguard mutual funds allocated across U.S. and foreign stocks, U.S. and foreign fixed income securities, and inflation-indexed securities according to an asset allocation strategy designed for investors currently in retirement. The underlying funds hold a diversified mix of large-, mid-, and small-capitalization stocks and investment-grade bonds across government, corporate, and securitized sectors, with foreign currency exposure on non-dollar bonds hedged to minimize currency risk.
