Fund profile
As filed in the prospectus · 2025 Q3
The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (the Fund ) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of North American equities in the software industry and select North American equities from interactive home entertainment and interactive media and services industries.
The fund tracks the S&P North American Expanded Technology Software Index using representative sampling, holding a portfolio of software companies and select interactive media and entertainment firms that collectively mirrors the index's characteristics; it invests at least 80% of assets in index constituents and may use derivatives and cash for up to 20%. Because the fund samples rather than holds all index securities, its returns may diverge from the index it seeks to track.

Allocation
Asset groups · long / short shown separately, never netted · 2026 Q1
| Stocks | 99.97% |
| Cash & short-term | 5.35% |
| Derivatives | -0.00% |
These positions come to 105.33% of the fund's net assets. This counts only what the fund reported holding — the holdings disclosure covers assets, not liabilities such as borrowings — so it is not expected to reconcile to 100%.
The outer band is exposure held short — written against the portfolio rather than part of it, which is why it sits outside the ring and why the two are never netted into one figure.
Derivatives are shown at market value, not notional exposure.
