The business
Zscaler, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZS) operates a cloud-native security platform designed to enable enterprises to securely accelerate their digital transformation initiatives. The company's website is www.zscaler.com.
Founded in 2007, Zscaler pioneered the Zero Trust Exchange platform, which implements Zero Trust principles to securely connect users, devices, applications and workloads without relying on traditional hub-and-spoke network architecture and firewall-centric security. The platform is distributed across more than 160 public exchanges globally and thousands of private exchanges at the edge, processing over 500 billion requests daily and blocking over 225 million threats each day.
The company's core solutions span four primary areas. Zero Trust Everywhere extends Zero Trust principles across all locations and entities through three domains: Zero Trust Users, Zero Trust Cloud, and Zero Trust Branch. Data Security Everywhere safeguards sensitive information across its entire lifecycle through advanced data classification, data loss prevention, unified SaaS security, email security and data security posture management. Security for AI enables organizations to securely embrace public and private artificial intelligence applications through GenAI security and AI Guard offerings. Agentic Operations integrates advanced AI technologies to empower security and IT operations teams with increased efficiency and actionable insights.
Zscaler serves over 9,400 customers across all major geographies, with particular emphasis on larger organizations. The customer base includes approximately 40% of the Forbes Global 2000 and over 45% of Fortune 500 companies, spanning industries including financial services, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, automotive, airlines and transportation, consumer goods and retail, media and communications, public sector and education, energy, technology and telecommunications services. Approximately 49% of revenue derives from customers outside the United States.
The company employs a joint sales approach combining direct sales relationships with channel partnerships including global telecommunications service providers, system integrators, value-added resellers and public cloud marketplaces. The platform is protected by more than 725 issued and pending patents and features a three-tier architecture comprising the Zscaler Central Authority, Zscaler Enforcement Nodes and Zscaler Log Servers, designed for resilience, redundancy and high performance.
