This segment enables customers to accept card, check, and digital-based payments through authorization, settlement, and funding services, alongside customer support, chargeback resolution, and payment security services. Global Payments also offers comprehensive business management software solutions, including specialty point-of-sale software, and commerce enablement solutions such as data analytics, human capital management, payroll, accounts receivable automation, and inventory management.

The company distributes its solutions through three primary business pillars: Point-of-Sale and Software Solutions, Integrated and Embedded Solutions, and Core Payments Solutions. These channels leverage a diverse distribution network including direct sales teams, financial institution partnerships, joint ventures, and wholesale relationships.

In January 2026, Global Payments completed a transformative transaction, acquiring Worldpay Holdco, LLC from Fidelity National Information Services and GTCR affiliates while simultaneously divesting its Issuer Solutions business to FIS. The company also completed the sale of its Payroll Solutions business to Acrisure in September 2025 and sold AdvancedMD in December 2024. These transactions reflect the company's strategic focus on streamlining operations and concentrating resources on high-growth opportunities within its core payments and software solutions businesses. The company processes transactions across major international card brands including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and UnionPay International.
