Copart's primary customers are insurance companies, which accounted for 81% of vehicles processed during fiscal 2025, though the company also serves dealers, individuals, charities, rental car companies, banks, finance companies, and fleet operators. The company generated revenues of $4.6 billion in fiscal 2025 with operating income of $1.7 billion. Vehicle buyers include licensed dismantlers, rebuilders, repair licensees, used vehicle dealers, exporters, and the general public, with approximately one million registered members in the company's database.

The company owns and operates several complementary brands and service offerings, including National Powersports Auctions for powersport vehicle sales, Purple Wave for construction and agriculture equipment auctions, and Cash For Cars for direct consumer vehicle purchases. Additional service offerings include Co.ai salvage estimation tools, Copart Access seller management platform, Title Express title processing services, and Copart 360 immersive vehicle imaging technology.

Copart's competitive advantages include its global geographic coverage, comprehensive value-added services, proven acquisition and integration capabilities, and proprietary technology infrastructure. The company's business model emphasizes extending vehicle useful life through reuse and recycling, supporting both environmental sustainability and affordable global mobility access.
