NXP serves four primary end markets: Automotive, Industrial & Internet of Things, Mobile, and Communication Infrastructure & Other. In the automotive sector, the company supplies solutions for advanced driver assistance systems, electrification, in-vehicle networking, and software-defined vehicles. The Industrial & IoT market includes factory automation, smart buildings, energy management, and edge computing applications. Mobile applications encompass smartphones, wearables, and mobile payment solutions. Communication Infrastructure includes secure identification, 5G radio power, and network communications.

The company operates as a single reportable segment and maintains manufacturing facilities across multiple continents, including operations in Singapore, the Netherlands, the United States, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, and China. As of December 31, 2025, NXP employed approximately 32,169 employees worldwide across more than 30 countries, with approximately 11,034 team members engaged in research and development activities. The company generated revenue of $12,269 million for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025.

NXP maintains significant intellectual property with approximately 9,500 patent families and holds leading market positions in multiple product categories including high-performance RF power amplifiers and security controller integrated circuits. The company serves major customers including Apple, Bosch, Denso, Samsung, and Hyundai, with distribution through partners including Avnet, Arrow, and Nexty. Recent acquisitions including TTTech Auto, Aviva Links, and Kinara have expanded the company's capabilities in software-defined vehicles, automotive networking, and artificial intelligence processing.
