The NSE segment provides an integrated portfolio of test, monitoring, assurance and resilient Position, Navigation and Timing solutions. Its high-speed optical and Ethernet solutions address laboratory, production and manufacturing environments for network equipment design and deployment supporting artificial intelligence and high-performance computing workloads. NSE also offers fiber products for broadband network construction and maintenance, wireless products for next-generation network development including 5G, 5GA, 6G and Open RAN, aerospace and defense test equipment, cybersecurity solutions and AIOps platforms leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning for network operations automation.
The OSP segment leverages optical coating technologies and volume manufacturing capabilities to serve anti-counterfeiting, 3D sensing, aerospace, industrial and automotive markets. Its anti-counterfeiting technologies deliver color-shifting effects for banknote protection deployed on currency in over 100 countries. OSP also manufactures optical filters for 3D sensing applications, near infrared spectrometers for industrial and pharmaceutical use, and custom optical coatings for aerospace and defense applications.
Viavi operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and China, with contract manufacturing partners globally. The company employs approximately 4,100 people across 34 countries. Its customer base includes telecommunications service providers, network equipment manufacturers, semiconductor vendors, cloud operators, data center operators, enterprises, government agencies and military organizations. Notable customers include AT&T, Cisco Systems, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, Nokia and Verizon Communications.
