(NYSE: D) operates as one of the nation's leading energy companies, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia and serving approximately 4.1 million primarily electric utility customers across Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The Contracted Energy segment consists primarily of long-term contracted electric generation operations.

Dominion Energy is recognized as one of the nation's leading developers and operators of regulated offshore wind and solar power and the largest producer of carbon-free electricity in New England. The company is executing a comprehensive capital expenditure plan of approximately $65 billion for 2026 through 2030, focused on expanding zero-carbon and renewable generation capacity, grid transformation, generation reliability, and transmission and distribution resiliency. Major projects include the 2.6-gigawatt Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Commercial Project and utility-scale solar facilities.

In recent years, Dominion Energy has strategically divested its regulated gas distribution operations to Enbridge, completing transactions totaling approximately $9.3 billion in cash consideration while retaining its South Carolina gas operations. The company has received license extensions for its regulated nuclear power stations in Virginia and South Carolina and intends to pursue extensions for its Millstone facility. Dominion Energy's business model emphasizes regulated utility operations providing stable, predictable cash flows while transitioning toward increasingly clean energy generation to meet growing customer demand, particularly from data center operations concentrated in its service territory.
