Edison International's subsidiary Trio operates as a global energy advisory firm providing integrated sustainability and energy solutions to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. While Trio's business activities are currently not material to report as a separate business segment, it represents the company's diversification beyond traditional utility operations.

The company is undergoing significant transformation driven by evolving electricity demand patterns, including transportation electrification, data center expansion, and building electrification.
