Crane Company (NYSE: CR) is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered components for mission-critical applications serving aerospace, defense, space, and process industry end markets. Founded in 1855, the company operates through two primary reportable segments: Aerospace & Advanced Technologies and Process Flow Technologies.
The Aerospace & Advanced Technologies segment supplies critical components and systems for commercial aerospace, military aerospace, defense, and space markets, with commercial and military applications representing 61% and 39% of segment sales respectively. This division provides pressure sensors for aircraft engine control, aircraft braking systems, power conversion solutions, lubrication systems, and microwave components. The segment benefits from positions on market-leading platforms and emerging opportunities in electrification and satellite applications.
The Process Flow Technologies segment provides highly engineered fluid handling equipment across three primary areas: Process Valves and Related Products, Pumps and Systems, and Commercial Valves. This segment serves pharmaceutical, cryogenic, chemical, nuclear, water and wastewater, and general industrial markets. The company strategically targets higher-growth, less cyclical industries expected to benefit from sustainability investments, infrastructure aging, and regulatory tightening.
Crane operates manufacturing facilities across the United States, United Kingdom, Taiwan, France, and numerous other locations globally, employing approximately 7,100 people worldwide as of December 31, 2025, with about 4,100 in the United States across 37 locations. International sales represented 41% of consolidated net sales from continuing operations in 2025.
The company has executed a strategic transformation through recent acquisitions including Druck, Panametrics, Reuter-Stokes, optek-Danulat, Technifab, CryoWorks, Vian, and BAUM, while divesting its Engineered Materials segment in January 2025. Crane separated from Crane Holdings, Co. in April 2023 to become an independent publicly-traded company. The organization operates through the Crane Business System, emphasizing continuous improvement, integrity, and customer-focused innovation. The company maintains its website at www.craneco.com.
