The business

Fair Isaac Corporation (NYSE: FICO) is a global analytics software leader founded in 1956 that operationalizes data-driven decision-making for thousands of businesses across more than 80 countries. The company's website is www.fico.com.

FICO operates through two primary segments: Scores and Software. The Scores segment generates 49% of total revenue and encompasses both business-to-business scoring solutions distributed primarily through major consumer reporting agencies and business-to-consumer offerings sold directly to consumers through myFICO.com. The company's flagship FICO Score, a three-digit metric ranging from 300 to 850, is the standard measure of consumer credit risk in the United States and is used by nearly all major banks, credit card issuers, mortgage lenders, and auto loan originators. FICO has regularly updated its scoring models, with FICO Score 10 and 10T introduced in 2020 incorporating trended credit data for enhanced predictive power. The company also offers alternative scoring products including FICO Score XD and UltraFICO Score designed to expand credit access for consumers with limited credit history.

The Software segment represents 51% of revenue and provides analytic and decision management solutions addressing customer engagement, fraud detection, account origination, and customer management. A significant portion of software offerings now runs on FICO Platform, a modular cloud-based environment that enables customers to configure solutions for high-velocity decisioning at scale. FICO Platform generated annual recurring revenue of $263.6 million as of September 30, 2025, representing 35% of total software ARR.

FICO serves approximately three-quarters of the largest 100 financial institutions in the U.S. and the largest 100 banks globally, along with more than 600 insurers, 300 retailers, and 200 government agencies. Seven of the top ten Fortune 500 companies use FICO solutions. Financial services represents 92% of total revenue, with the Americas accounting for 87%.

The company employs 3,811 people across 28 countries, with significant operations in the United States, India, and the United Kingdom. FICO's competitive advantages include proprietary predictive modeling capabilities, advanced decision optimization technology, transaction profiling expertise, and customer data integration tools developed over nearly seven decades of analytics specialization.

Fund ownership counts N-PORT filers only, so it is a floor rather than a census — pensions, insurers and direct holders are not visible here, and the remainder is not “held by individuals”.

Fund ownership is a subset of institutional 13F ownership — the two describe overlapping populations and must not be added together.
