The business
HEICO Corporation (NYSE: HEI) operates as a leading manufacturer of aerospace and defense components through its website at https://www.heico.com. The company believes it is the world's largest manufacturer of FAA-approved jet engine and aircraft component replacement parts outside of original equipment manufacturers and their subcontractors, while also serving as a leading manufacturer of electronic equipment for aviation, defense, space, medical, telecommunications, and electronics industries.
The company operates through two primary segments. The Flight Support Group, representing 70 percent of net sales, designs and manufactures jet engine and aircraft component replacement parts approved by the FAA at lower prices than OEM alternatives. This segment also provides repair and overhaul services for jet engine and aircraft components, avionics, and instruments for commercial airlines, repair facilities, and military operators. The segment manufactures specialty aerospace and defense parts, thermal insulation systems, composite assemblies, and emergency descent devices. The Electronic Technologies Group comprises 30 percent of net sales and designs and manufactures highly-engineered subcomponents for mission-critical applications, including infrared simulation and test equipment, laser rangefinder receivers, power supplies, microwave products, EMI/RFI shielding, high-voltage interconnection devices, traveling wave tube amplifiers, memory products, harsh environment connectors, RF and microwave products, and radiation detectors.
HEICO maintains approximately 11,100 full-time and part-time employees globally, with roughly 5,300 in the Flight Support Group and 5,800 in the Electronic Technologies Group. The company generated net sales of $4,485.0 million in fiscal 2025. Since 1990, HEICO has completed approximately 107 acquisitions that have complemented its niche market segments while expanding its product offerings and customer base. The company has demonstrated consistent growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, with net sales growing from $26.2 million in fiscal 1990 to current levels, representing a compound annual growth rate of approximately 16 percent. HEICO serves a diverse customer base including commercial airlines, repair facilities, OEMs, U.S. and foreign governments, defense contractors, and satellite manufacturers, with no single customer representing more than 10 percent of consolidated sales.
