Within Distributed Cloud Services, F5 offers specialized solutions including Web App and API Protection, Multi-Cloud Networking, DNS, CDN, and App Stack offerings.

F5 operates through three primary geographic segments: Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. The company employs 6,578 full-time employees across 47 countries, with 47 percent based in the United States. F5 outsources hardware manufacturing to third-party partners, primarily Flex Ltd., which operates manufacturing facilities in Mexico and China.

The company's strategy centers on solving multicloud application delivery and security challenges, transforming customer experience through digital sales and SaaS capabilities, and capturing growth in security and SaaS markets. F5 has integrated artificial intelligence throughout its platform to support performance, security, and emerging AI workload requirements. In 2025, F5 introduced the F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform to unify traffic management with advanced application and API security across hybrid and multicloud environments.
