General Electric Company operates as GE Aerospace, a global aerospace leader headquartered at www.geaerospace.com. The company designs, develops, manufactures and services jet engines for commercial and defense applications, along with critical aircraft systems and components. GE Aerospace maintains an installed base of approximately 50,000 commercial and 30,000 military engines, with aftermarket services representing roughly 70 percent of total revenue.

The company operates through two reportable segments. Commercial Engines & Services comprises approximately 73 percent of revenue and designs, manufactures and services jet engines for commercial airframes, business aviation and aeroderivative applications. This segment serves airframers including Boeing and Airbus, airlines, and third-party maintenance, repair and overhaul shops. Key product platforms include the LEAP engine, which is in significant production ramp, along with mature platforms such as the CFM56, CF6 and GE90, and newer engines including the GEnx and GE9X. Defense & Propulsion Technologies represents approximately 23 percent of revenue and consists of Defense & Systems and Propulsion & Additive Technologies businesses. Defense & Systems provides jet engines and avionics and power systems for governments and militaries, with significant platforms including the F110, F404 and F414 combat engines and rotorcraft engines such as the T408, T700 and T901. Propulsion & Additive Technologies designs aircraft components and systems under brands including Avio Aero, Unison, Dowty Propellers and Colibrium Additive.

GE Aerospace employs approximately 57,000 people globally, with roughly 30,000 in the United States. The company operates 70 manufacturing and service facilities across 23 U.S. states and Puerto Rico, and 62 facilities across 23 other countries. The company serves customers in approximately 120 countries and maintains significant joint ventures, most notably CFM International, a 50-50 partnership with Safran Aircraft Engines focused on commercial engine development and production. GE Aerospace operates under the proprietary FLIGHT DECK lean operating model emphasizing safety, quality, delivery and cost. The company invests substantially in research and development, with total investments exceeding $2.9 billion annually from both internal funding and customer and partner contributions, particularly from the U.S. Government.
