908 Devices has developed an innovative suite of purpose-built handheld instruments leveraging mass spectrometry and optical spectroscopy technologies combined with advanced analytics and machine learning to deliver laboratory-grade chemical analysis capabilities in portable, user-friendly formats. The company's core technology platform centers on proprietary microscale mass spectrometry, known as High-Pressure Mass Spec or HPMS, which enables devices that are approximately one thousand times smaller than conventional laboratory instruments while consuming significantly less power and maintaining comparable analytical performance.
