Roper operates through three reportable segments that collectively serve a wide range of industries. The Application Software segment, representing 56.7% of total net revenues, includes businesses such as Aderant, CentralReach, Clinisys, Data Innovations, Deltek, Frontline, IntelliTrans, PowerPlan, Procare, Strata, Transact/CBORD, and Vertafore. These businesses provide cloud-based and SaaS solutions for law firms, healthcare providers, educational institutions, government contractors, and insurance agencies. The Network Software segment comprises 20.3% of revenues and includes ConstructConnect, DAT, Foundry, iPipeline, iTradeNetwork, MHA, SHP, SoftWriters, and Subsplash, which deliver electronic marketplaces, supply chain software, and data analytics solutions. The Technology Enabled Products segment accounts for 23.0% of revenues and includes CIVCO Medical Solutions, FMI, Inovonics, IPA, Neptune, Northern Digital, rf IDEAS, and Verathon, which manufacture specialized medical devices, fluid control systems, wireless sensors, and utility infrastructure products.

As of December 31, 2025, Roper employed approximately 19,400 people worldwide, with approximately 13,100 in the United States and 6,300 internationally. The company maintains a global presence with international sales totaling $1,029.7 million in 2025. Roper's growth strategy emphasizes acquisitions of high-value-added software, services, and technology-enabled products. Over the past three years, the company deployed approximately $8,960 million toward acquisitions, including significant investments in CentralReach, Subsplash, Procare, Transact Campus, and Syntellis. In 2022, Roper divested a majority equity stake in its industrial businesses to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, retaining a minority interest in the resulting entity, Indicor. The company competes primarily on product quality, innovation, applications expertise, and customer service capabilities, positioning itself as a market leader or competitive alternative in most of its niche markets.
