The Safety-Kleen Sustainability Solutions segment operates as the largest re-refiner and recycler of used oil in North America, collecting 243 million gallons of used oil annually. The segment operates seven re-refineries that process collected used oil into base oils, vacuum gas oil, and high-quality lubricants marketed under the Performance Plus brand. The segment also provides parts cleaning services, the largest such offering in North America, along with collection services for used oil filters and automotive fluids.

Clean Harbors serves a diversified customer base spanning multiple industries including general manufacturing, chemical, refineries, automotive, utilities, transportation, government and retail sectors. The company generated approximately $6.0 billion in total revenues, with approximately 91 percent derived from United States operations and 9 percent from Canada.
