The business

Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (NYSE: PEG) is a public utility holding company that operates as a predominantly regulated electric and gas utility with nuclear generation assets. The company's principal website is https://investor.pseg.com.

PSEG conducts its business through two primary wholly owned subsidiaries. Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) operates as a franchised public utility in New Jersey, providing electric transmission and distribution along with natural gas distribution services to approximately 2.4 million electric customers and 1.9 million gas customers across a service territory covering roughly 2,600 square miles in the state's most densely populated regions. PSE&G also invests in regulated solar generation projects and energy efficiency programs. PSEG Power LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, operates nuclear generation facilities with 3,758 megawatts of capacity located in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, selling energy and capacity through wholesale markets operated by PJM Interconnection. PSEG Power also supplies natural gas to PSE&G's default service customers through a full-requirements contract.

The company's other direct subsidiaries include PSEG Long Island LLC, which operates the Long Island Power Authority's electric transmission and distribution system under a service agreement, and PSEG Energy Holdings, which maintains legacy lease investments and competitively bid FERC-regulated transmission projects.

PSEG's business model emphasizes regulated utility investments focused on transmission and distribution infrastructure modernization, clean energy programs including electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and energy efficiency initiatives. The company operates in a competitive wholesale generation market while maintaining stable, regulated returns on its utility operations. PSE&G's revenues derive from tariff-based transmission and distribution services approved by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and FERC, with no margin on commodity supply costs that are passed through to customers. PSEG Power generates revenue from wholesale energy and capacity sales in PJM markets, with nuclear generation benefiting from production tax credits available through 2032 under the Inflation Reduction Act.

The company employs approximately 13,000 workers, with 59 percent represented by six unions under collective bargaining agreements extending through 2027.
