The business

Intuitive Machines, Inc. (Nasdaq: LUNR) is a space infrastructure and services company focused on enabling sustained infrastructure and human activity beyond Earth. The company operates through an integrated Build-Connect-Operate business model designed to transition space activity from episodic missions to long-duration operations and persistent presence across civil, national security, and commercial markets.

The Build segment encompasses the design, manufacture, integration, testing, and delivery of spacecraft, satellites, landers, surface systems, and related technologies operating in low Earth orbit, geostationary orbit, cislunar space, and deep space. The Connect segment integrates deployed spacecraft and systems into command, control, communications, navigation, and data relay networks enabling persistent connectivity. The Operate segment provides mission operations and infrastructure-as-a-service offerings including spacecraft operations, navigation and timing services, hosted payload data services, and autonomous system management.

Intuitive Machines was founded in 2013 and completed a business combination with Inflection Point Acquisition Corp. in February 2023. The company significantly expanded its capabilities through two major acquisitions: KinetX, Inc. in October 2025 and Lanteris Space Holdings LLC in January 2026. Lanteris, a world leader in commercial geostationary communication satellites with over three decades of on-orbit performance, substantially broadened the company's satellite manufacturing and commercial customer base.

As of December 31, 2025, the company employed 525 people, expanding to approximately 1,695 employees following the Lanteris acquisition. Operations span multiple U.S. locations including Houston, Texas; Glen Burnie, Maryland; Phoenix, Arizona; and California, with additional facilities in Colorado. The company serves U.S. government customers including NASA and the Department of Defense, commercial customers including Columbia Sportswear and Nokia, and international space agencies across Europe and Asia.

The company's total addressable market spans the full space value chain from Earth-based ground stations to deep-space missions. Intuitive Machines pursues a moon-first strategy, leveraging its flight-proven capability in precision landing, deep-space communications, navigation, and surface operations to establish a foundation for scalable space infrastructure.
