According to Engineering News-Record's 2025 Design Survey, AECOM ranks as the largest general architectural and engineering design firm globally by 2024 design revenue. The company also holds the number one position in multiple specialized markets, including water, transportation design, facilities design, environmental engineering, environmental consulting, and environmental science.
The company operates through three reportable segments. The Americas segment provides planning, advisory, consulting, architectural and engineering design, construction management and program management services to public and private clients in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The International segment delivers similar services across Europe, the Middle East, India, Africa, and the Asia-Australia-Pacific regions. AECOM Capital focuses on real estate investment and development activities. For fiscal 2025, government clients represented approximately 50 percent of total revenue, while private entities accounted for the remaining 50 percent.
