What AerSale Corp does
In the company’s own words
AerSale Corporation (Nasdaq: ASLE) operates as a comprehensive provider of products and services supporting owners and operators of mid-life commercial aircraft. The company's website is located at www.aersale.com.
Founded in 2008 by Nicolas Finazzo and Robert B. Nichols, AerSale has established a global platform serving the aviation aftermarket through two primary reporting segments. The Asset Management Solutions segment, representing approximately 63 percent of revenue, acquires flight equipment from airlines and leasing companies, then sells or leases aircraft and engines while disassembling assets for used serviceable material components. The Technical Operations segment, comprising 37 percent of revenue, provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services across airframe and component levels through six FAA and EASA certified repair stations.
The company operates approximately 530,000 square feet of hangar space across facilities in Goodyear Arizona, Roswell New Mexico, and Millington Tennessee for airframe maintenance, along with component MRO capabilities in Miami Florida, Hialeah Gardens Florida, Rio Rancho New Mexico, and Millington Tennessee. AerSale also offers long-term aircraft storage capacity for up to 650 aircraft in desert conditions.
AerSale serves more than 1,000 customers worldwide, with non-U.S. customers accounting for approximately 46 percent of total revenue. The customer base includes domestic and foreign passenger airlines, cargo operators, government agencies, original equipment manufacturers, MRO providers, financial sponsors and leasing companies. All top ten customers by revenue have maintained relationships for five or more years.
The company maintains proprietary intellectual property including trademarks on AerSale, AerSafe, AerTrak, and AerAware product lines. AerSale holds FAA unlimited repair station ratings for both airframe and component operations, enabling expedited implementation of new capabilities through self-certification procedures. The company employs 704 employees worldwide, with approximately 99 percent based in the United States, plus approximately 117 contract workers.
AerSale's competitive strengths center on providing integrated solutions across the complete aircraft lifecycle, from whole asset leasing through component-level parts sales and specialized maintenance services, positioning the company as a comprehensive one-stop source for mid-life flight equipment support.
