Alta Equipment Group Inc. (NYSE: ALTG) operates one of the largest integrated equipment dealership platforms in North America through its website at www.altg.com. The company sells, rents, and provides parts and service support for specialized equipment across multiple categories including lift trucks and material handling equipment, heavy and compact earthmoving equipment, crushing and screening equipment, environmental processing equipment, cranes and aerial work platforms, paving and asphalt equipment, and construction equipment.
The company maintains a branch network of over 80 locations across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, New York, Virginia, Nevada, and Florida, as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Maritime, and Quebec. As of December 31, 2025, Alta employed approximately 2,750 people, including roughly 1,175 skilled technicians, with approximately 650 employees covered by collective bargaining agreements.
Alta's business model centers on five principal revenue streams: new and used equipment sales, parts sales, repair and maintenance services, equipment rentals, and rental equipment sales. The company operates as the exclusive distributor of new equipment and replacement parts for leading OEMs including Hyster-Yale, Volvo, JCB, CNH, Takeuchi, McCloskey, and Kubota. Approximately 49 percent of equipment and parts sales during 2025 came from five major manufacturers.
