Astec Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTE) designs, engineers, manufactures, markets and services equipment and components used primarily in asphalt and concrete road building and related construction activities. The company operates through two reportable segments: Infrastructure Solutions and Materials Solutions, serving customers across road construction, mining, quarrying, recycling, energy, forestry and port operations globally.

The Infrastructure Solutions segment produces asphalt plants, concrete batch plants, heating and combustion systems, road construction equipment including pavers and material transfer vehicles, wood chippers, horizontal grinders, blower trucks and industrial automation controls and telematics platforms. This segment also offers environmental solutions including emissions control devices and sustainability-focused technologies such as warm mix asphalt systems and equipment compatible with alternative fuels.

The Materials Solutions segment manufactures heavy equipment for aggregate and minerals processing, including jaw crushers, cone crushers, screening equipment, washing plants, material handling systems and rock breaking equipment. This segment serves civil construction, energy, mining, hydro, recycling, ports and forestry markets through manufacturing operations in the United States, Brazil, Canada, South Africa, India, China and the United Kingdom, with additional service and distribution locations in Australia, Chile, Thailand and Sweden.

As of December 31, 2025, Astec employed 4,468 individuals globally, with 3,679 in the United States and Canada. The company maintains a portfolio of 83 United States trademarks and 188 foreign trademarks, including recognized brands such as Roadtec, Heatec, Peterson Pacific, Telsmith, Gundlach Crushers and Elsmith. The company holds 117 United States patents and 160 foreign patents protecting its innovations.

Astec's business model emphasizes direct and dealer-supported sales, international distribution networks and comprehensive aftermarket parts and service offerings. The company pursues growth through organic development, strategic acquisitions and partnerships, recently completing acquisitions of TerraSource Holdings and CWMF to expand its product portfolio and market reach.
