Founded in 2003, the company maintains its website at www.avidbank.com and serves clients through a single branch in San Jose, California, complemented by loan production offices in San Francisco and Redwood City, as well as nationwide presence through specialized divisions.
The bank's business is organized into five primary divisions. The Corporate Banking division delivers customized commercial and industrial lending solutions to privately held businesses across the Bay Area, with typical loan sizes up to $20 million. The Commercial Real Estate division focuses on term financing for commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use properties throughout the Bay Area with similar loan sizing. The Construction Lending division specializes in financing high-end residential and commercial development projects for experienced local developers. The Venture Lending division, launched in 2019, provides banking services to venture-backed technology companies and venture capital and private equity firms, with deposits significantly exceeding borrowing needs. The Specialty Finance division comprises three teams offering Sponsor Finance Lending for private equity and search fund acquisitions, Asset-Based Lending secured by accounts receivable and inventory, and Accounts Receivable Factoring and Finance solutions.
