This segment also manufactures specialty vitamin K2 for bone and heart health, methylsulfonylmethane for joint and sports nutrition, and microencapsulation solutions for food and pharmaceutical applications. The segment serves beverage, bakery, dairy, confectionary and savory manufacturers with customized spray-dried and emulsified powders, extrusion and agglomeration capabilities, and cereal systems.
The Animal Nutrition and Health segment provides microencapsulated and chelated nutritional products, choline chloride for monogastric animals, and MSM for pet health. These products support ruminant milk production and enhance nutrient absorption across various animal species, serving the poultry, pet and swine industries globally.
The Specialty Products segment re-packages and distributes performance gases and chemicals including ethylene oxide for medical device sterilization, propylene oxide as a fumigant for nuts and spices, and ammonia for refrigeration and industrial applications. This segment also operates a micronutrient agricultural nutrition business selling chelated minerals to high-value crop producers through its patented Metalosate product line.
Balchem employs approximately 1,352 full-time employees worldwide and maintains manufacturing facilities across multiple countries.
