The company maintains its website at bancofcal.com and operates through its wholly owned subsidiary, Banc of California, a California state-chartered bank and member of the Federal Reserve System.
As of December 31, 2025, Banc of California manages total assets of $34.8 billion, total loans and leases held for investment of $25.0 billion, total deposits of $27.8 billion, and stockholders' equity of $3.5 billion. The company employs 1,904 full-time and part-time employees and operates 79 full-service branches throughout California, with additional locations in Denver, Colorado and Durham, North Carolina, along with regional offices nationwide.
The Bank organizes its operations into four primary business groups. Commercial & Community Banking provides in-market relationship lending and deposit gathering through its branch network. Specialty Banking focuses on niche verticals including homeowners associations, venture banking, lender finance, SBA lending, mortgage warehouse lending, media and entertainment, asset-based lending, and equipment finance. Deposit and Transaction Services delivers tailored cash management and treasury management solutions, including foreign exchange and liquidity management products. Payment Solutions provides integrated electronic payment capabilities through its proprietary BancEdge platform, offering merchant acquiring and card issuing services for commercial clients.
The loan portfolio reflects significant diversification across real estate and commercial segments. Real estate loans comprise 63 percent of the portfolio, including commercial real estate mortgages, multi-family properties, residential mortgages, and construction and land loans. Commercial loans and leases represent 36 percent, encompassing lender finance, equipment finance, venture capital, warehouse loans, and other specialized lending products. Consumer loans comprise one percent of the portfolio.
Deposits totaled $27.8 billion at year-end 2025, consisting of noninterest-bearing deposits, interest-bearing checking accounts, money market accounts, savings accounts, and time deposits. The company also manages $1.2 billion in off-balance sheet client investment funds. Banc of California completed a transformational merger with PacWest Bancorp in November 2023, with Banc of California continuing as the surviving entity and rebranding the combined bank operations under the Banc of California name.
