Bio-Techne Corporation (Nasdaq: TECH) develops, manufactures and sells life science reagents, instruments and services for research, diagnostics and bioprocessing customers worldwide, including academic and industry researchers, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, laboratories, diagnostic instrument makers, and developers of cell and gene therapies. It operates through two reportable segments: Protein Sciences, which generated approximately 72% of fiscal 2026 net sales, and Diagnostics and Spatial Biology, which generated approximately 28%. Protein Sciences provides proteins, antibodies, small molecules, sera, cell selection technologies, protein-analysis instruments and immunoassays; its brands include R&D Systems, Tocris Biosciences, Novus Biologicals and ProteinSimple. Diagnostics and Spatial Biology offers diagnostic controls, calibrators and assays, molecular and oncology products, and spatial biology instruments and tissue-analysis assays, including products under the Advanced Cell Diagnostics and Asuragen brands and Lunaphore’s COMET platform. Bio-Techne employed approximately 3,000 people as of June 30, 2026. Founded in 1976, the company became publicly traded in 1985 through a merger with Techne Corporation.
