The company operates from more than 135 locations throughout the United States and four offices in Mexico, serving thousands of customer projects through a workforce of over 2,300 employees. Approximately 30 percent of revenue derives from public sector customers including transportation departments, utilities, government agencies, military branches, school systems, and water authorities. The remaining 70 percent comes from private sector customers such as investor-owned utilities, oil and gas operators, renewable energy participants, data center developers, and real estate developers. Approximately 73 percent of revenue comes from repeat customers.

Bowman has experienced more than fourfold revenue growth over approximately five years since its initial public offering, achieving this through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. The company has completed forty-one operating company acquisitions and four non-operating licensing acquisitions. The firm ranks 72nd on the ENR Top 500 Design Firms list, up from 144th in 2021.

The company's competitive strengths include its full-service national platform with comprehensive end-to-end capabilities, commitment to technological innovation and digital advancement, diversified portfolio across growing end-markets, consistent organic growth and margin expansion, proven acquisition integration track record, and experienced leadership team with aligned insider ownership. Bowman maintains no single customer representing more than 5 percent of gross contract revenue, reflecting its deliberately diversified business model designed to be resilient across economic and political cycles.
