Calix, Inc. (NASDAQ: CALX) is a software and cloud platform company that enables communication service providers to transform into customer experience providers. The company develops and markets an integrated platform combining artificial intelligence, cloud applications, software, and intelligent appliances designed to help service providers of all sizes simplify operations, innovate for subscribers, and grow revenue.
The company's core offering is the Calix One Platform, which consists of three main components. Calix Cloud provides role-based software-as-a-service applications for engagement, operations, and service management. The Calix Agent Workforce comprises four families of AI agents that assist customer service representatives, extend support to subscribers, help network operations teams, and support marketing functions. The platform also includes Access Edge network solutions for managing access networks and Experience Edge premises solutions for Wi-Fi and service delivery.
Complementing the core platform, Calix offers SmartLife managed services including SmartHome for residential connectivity and security, SmartTown for community Wi-Fi, SmartBiz for small business networking, and SmartMDU for multi-family properties. The company provides these solutions through direct sales and select channel partners across North America and international markets.
Calix serves approximately 1,600 active service provider customers ranging from small local operators to large national providers. The customer base spans diverse service provider types including cable operators, fiber overbuilders, wireless internet service providers, municipalities, electric cooperatives, and managed service providers. No single customer represented more than ten percent of revenue in the most recent fiscal year. International sales represented seven percent of revenue, with operations primarily in the Americas and Europe.
