The Bank attracts deposits from the general public and businesses, investing those funds primarily in commercial loans secured by real estate or for commercial and industrial purposes, as well as permanent loans secured by first mortgages on owner-occupied one- to four-family residences. Capitol Federal continues to transition from a retail-oriented financial institution to one with expanded commercial banking focus through strategic investments in technology, people, products, and services. The company is one of the leading originators of conventional one- to four-family loans in Kansas and actively participates in commercial loans with other lenders both locally and outside its market areas.
The Bank offers a comprehensive suite of deposit products including savings accounts, money market accounts, interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing checking accounts, and certificates of deposit with terms ranging from 91 days to 120 months.
